Designed with students in mind, this residence has everything you need to make your stay in London enjoyable. There are over 250 student rooms in the building with 8 communal and social areas. This residence boasts a cinema room, a games room, a TV room with Satellite TV and a gym. Making friends and finding something to do should not be a problem. There is even an on-site supermarket to make your food shopping easier.

Liverpool Street, Brick Lane, Petticoat Lane, Shoreditch and Spitalfields Market are situated minutes away from this residence allowing you to enjoy the incredible shopping and ambience of the local area. Spitalfields Market is a top London shopping destination whether it’s designers you’re after, one off vintage pieces or inspiring gifts, you will find it all within this vibrant market.

At ‘The Curve’ you could not be better placed to spend your days as a student in London. The accommodation is situated in the heart of London’s coolest area. Hoxton, Shoreditch and London Bridge are literally on your doorstep. Zone 1 has more bars, clubs and pubs than you could visit during your stay, even if you visited 3 a day!

If you are new to London, then Aldgate residence is the perfect accommodation for exploring the city as a tourist as well as a student.
The Olympic Park is just a short journey east, as is the O2, the home of London’s music events. North and you can visit Hoxton, Shoreditch, Angel, Islington and many more of the great sights London has to offer.
But don’t forget The City is on your doorstep; the Tower of London and the wonderfully Gothic Tower Bridge can be reached in just a 15 minute walk. Along the River west is Tate Modern, the London Eye, the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey. If you cross the river and head East, you will pass St Paul’s Cathedral, Monument (to the Great Fire of London) and the heart of the financial district (visit on a weekend and just enjoy the wonderful architecture).

What is included?

For all summer 2016 arrivals we are delighted to include a free bedding and kitchen pack to ensure all you have to worry about when you arrive is how to enjoy London!

Can I book if I am under the age of 18?

Yes, under 18s are welcome to stay at this residence. For guests who are 16 or 17 years old we will require a parental consent form to be completed. This form will state that your parents are happy for your to stay in this residence. All guests under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

What’s the difference between Studio room types and En suite room types?

The Studios are self-contained so you have your own kitchen as well as an en suite bathroom. The en suite type rooms involve sharing a large kitchen/common area with up to 6 other students whilst having your own bedroom and en suite bathroom.

Does the residence have wheelchair access?

Yes, the residence is wheelchair friendly and there are rooms especially made with wheelchair access in mind. Please note that these rooms are limited therefore if your require a room with wheelchair access, we would advise booking early.

Is it possible for two people to stay in the same room?

Yes, there is some very limited availability for large double studios that are suitable for 2 people sharing. This room type is very limited, therefore early booking is advised.

What are the check in and check out times?

Check in: 15:00
Check out: 10:00

Is there a curfew?

No. The secure access fob will allow you to enter and leave the accommodation whenever you wish.

Can I smoke in the accommodation?

Smoking is in indoor public places such as student residences is not permitted in the UK. You can smoke outside the accommodation in designated smoking areas.

Are there social events organised for the residents?

Yes, there are this is a very sociable residence. We pride ourselves on being one of the friendliest residences in London, with a close community. There is a welcome party each week were new guests can meet with current guests and find out a little more about the residence and the area. Someone is always on hand to give you advice about everything from what to do in London to how to get to your school. Some of the events this year included a Talent show; Christmas Party and Valentine Match making. These events are all advertised on our private Facebook page, which only residents have access to.

Is there always a member of staff available?

There is 24 hours, 7 days a week, staff presence on site. The management office is open at various times throughout the week; please see below for the opening hours: Monday: 8am – 6pm Tuesday: 8am – 6pm Wednesday: 8am – 6pm Thursday: 8am – 6pm Friday: 8am – 6pm.

Can I have my friend come to stay with me?

Yes, within reason short stay (2 to 3 night) overnight guests are permitted. This is subject to the residence manager’s permission and you will be responsible for providing a bed for your guests.
